Yeah, I'm baaaaaaack....
Just wanted to post in and let you all know I'm doing fine! Working like mad, as usual (that's a good thing I guess) and been too busy to play around on the forums. However today I felt it was time to post a bit, especially a workaround to a problem I had yesterday that was driving me nuts. All the info I could find when I searched for the error message was giving me nothing, oh, info in german or french, but that doesn't help me much. So I hope the search engines finds the post on this forum, and it'll save someone elses time. I can't even remember *where* I read the workaround as I was reading like 20 pages at the same time, but some guy in a thread - deep burried with techncial geek talk - had found the solution, but it wasn't easy to find through Google.
Anyway... everything is fine here. I still adore my kittens, they are sleeping behind my neck right now in a big pile. They are some real characters for sure! Hubby is doing fine, we did celebrate our 5th anniversary on June 21st and I was thinking about all of you guys, who surprised me with an upgrade of Photoshop on our wedding day 5 years ago. I will never forget that generosity!
We were in Canada for our 5th anniversary and spent the night in Niagara Falls, very romantic!
Click here to see a link of the nice view we had in the hotel! While in Canada I was shooting hubby's cousin's wedding (phew!) and I also shot a wedding with an extremely talented photographer, Mark Ridout in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Very, very nice! Back at home now and I'm editing weddings up to my ears, and I have more weddings to shoot in august. I think once this summer is over, I've shot a total of 28 weddings since I started. Not many, but a lot!
It's great fun and a wonderful way to be outdoors and get out of the house.
Soon I will once again start a new translation of one of Scott Kelby's books (I did one this spring about digital photography and now it's an overhaul of Photoshop CS3 for digital photographers). So I'm keeping myself very busy. But if we're going to be able to remodel our kitchen this winter, I need the cash.
Healthwise, it's the same same. I'm going to be part of a trial for a new medication this fall, but I've been disappointed so many times of so many "wonder drugs", that I am a bit sceptical to this new drug too. But I guess I'll find out sooner than later if it works or not. Would be nice to get my voice back though, so I can yell at hubby.
So to sum it all up: I miss you guys and I'm doing fine!
