Okay, let's get real. Cars drive in straight lines, along recognizable streets. They are dangerous.

This vehicle could not only go forward, but also up, down, sideways, diagonally--maybe all at the same time. Can you imagine the chaos of thousands of these vehicles moving through the air at one time?    The thought is mind boggling. I'd be afraid to go outside lest one of them careen into my carcass.

Yeah, it's an interesting idea, but, with the state of technology today, completely impractical.

Second, any flying vehicle should require extensive licensing before anyone would be allowed to use it. Decreasing the population would be a help if only those in that saucer were the only ones eliminated in a crash.
