I'm not krissel, but
... I've read/tried several of those authors. Many I didn't care for, but those that I did like from your list:
James RollinsFantastic author. I prefer his stand-alone books -- particularly "Map of Bones" and "Ice Hunt". His "Sigma-Force" series is decent. His books are well paced and filled with action. He's also a super nice guy, and takes time to answer email from folks.
Brad Thorn - (sure this isn't Brad
THOR?) If so, he's a great author - political thrillers that involve Navy SEALS and such. Fast paced - real page turners that I find hard to put down.
James Grippando - good author, compelling stories with a good pace.
Here's my semi-big list.
THRILLERS/ADVENTURE/MYSTERIES - from MOST favorite on down:
James Rollins - particularly "Map of Bones" and "Ice Hunt"
http://jamesrollins.com/Vince Flynn (read 'em in order if you can) - political thrillers

Brad Thor (read 'em in order if you can) - political thrillers

J.D. Robb - Lt. Eve Dallas kicks a** HAHAHA!
http://www.noraroberts.comSlightly futuristic mysteries
(I don't care for her Nora Roberts books)
David Baldaccihttp://www.david-baldacci.com/He wrote "Absolute Power" - made into movie with Clint Eastwood
Matthew Reilly - esp. "Scarecrow"
http://www.matthewreilly.com/His books are over-the-top non-stop action/adventure.
They leave me breathless, happy and satisfied when I finish.
James Grippando - esp the Swyteck series
http://www.jamesgrippando.com/J.A. Jance - mainly the JP Beaumont series
http://jajance.com/Robert Crais (thanks to
kelly!)- esp. Demolition Angel, Hostage
http://robertcrais.com/Crais began his career writing scripts for television shows such as Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey, Quincy, Miami Vice and L.A. Law.
Chris Grabenstein - esp the Ceepak series
http://www.chrisgrabenstein.com/A very limited recommendation:
Jeffery Deaver's
"The Blue Nowhere" and
"The Devil's Teardrop" are both interesting.
I've never been able to read any of his other books - too gruesome.
I'd like to know who your "favorite authors" are,
beacher.
