iTunes 7.4
« on: September 21, 2007, 04:58:00 AM »
Anyone know where a person might find a copy of iTunes 7.4? ... or maybe at least 7.4.1?

Nothing but headaches since upgrading to 7.4.2... at least I suspect, because I don't remember these things being an "issue" before upgrade... *growl**

Hi Dreambird,

Oops, guess I need my reading glasses on this one. Never mind! I thought I had an answer for you until I got the cobwebs out of my eyes!

I'm curious what "these things" are that are issues.

Thanks Jennie... right link however they only go as far as v7.2 stating 7.4 is current they don't have the 7.4 and 7.4.1 increments yet. But good place to watch.

kimmer... the "issues" are probably only something that would bother a pedant like me... blush-anim-cl.gif
What happens is that some of my video playlists simply refuse to sync in order no matter which tab I choose... name, episode ID, track #... I've tried it all. They jumble up in their own order and it's more of an inconvenience since I have them numbered as well as named but I HATE scrolling through lists looking for things out of order... doh.gif

I suppose I should be happy things are syncing normally otherwise at least... the Apple forums are full of people who can't do that even...  notworthy.gif

Ah, okay. Thanks. I don't seem to have any problems with this version of iTunes.

Wish I still had the old installer, I'd *coughgivecough* it to you. wink.gif

If you'd like a few paragraphs of problems and a few fixes, visit <MacFixIt's 'home' page>. wallbash.gif I see no reason to upgrade until all the problems are solved, again. Apple's upgrades are gaining a well deserved reputation of being something to wait a while before using, IMHO. steprake.gif I've so far not been failed by my habit of making an archive of an app's main files and any prefs I can find. That way, I have my own backup files without having to search for them. If the 'upgrade' seems to work well after a few weeks, I then dump the archive(s). "A stitch in time saves..." "Better safe than..." "Be prepared!" "When on if!" "I gave at the office." Wait, that last one doesn't belong...laugh.gif

Jim... most of the problems I saw over there, funny enough seem to apply to the iPhone however the complaints go back to version 7.4 it seems so maybe it's just a "waiting" game for updates to iTunes, firmware etc. I think there's some I can't read because it declares I don't have a subscription!  dry.gif

Glad all is working well for you, Dick! I can't really complain either... minor annoying problem really.

Cool, SB... that's the one thing they've never done to me yet! I can buy all the music I want, now if they would just open up the TV part of the store to Canada... up here... hello... remember us... friends (I think) to the direct north... complain.gif
