Three Big Ten Teams Remain Unbeaten After Second Week of Conference Play

Sept. 29, 2007

Indiana 38, Iowa 20: Kellen Lewis threw two touchdown passes and was officially credited with a third when he ran 71 yards after picking up a teammate's fumble, leading Indiana to a 38-20 victory over Iowa on Saturday.


Illinois 27, Penn State 20: Rejus Benn returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and caught a pass for another and the Illinois defense intercepted three passes for a 27-20 upset over No. 21 Penn State on Saturday.    GREGG's ILLINI keep on rolling!


Michigan 28, Northwestern 16: Michigan picked up its third straight win on a strong fourth quarter comeback at Northwestern.    Congrats to DAVE-F's WOLVERINES


Purdue 33, Notre Dame 19: Notre Dame extended the worst start in school history to five losses in a row Saturday, with Purdue's Curtis Painter throwing two touchdown passes and Chris Summers hitting four field goals in a 33-19 win over the Fighting Irish. Congrats to the BOILERMAKERS (5-0)


Wisconsin 37, Michigan State 34: P.J. Hill ran for 155 yards and two touchdowns and No. 9 Wisconsin extended the nation's longest winning streak to 14 by holding off Michigan State 37-34 on Saturday.    Giant Mike's   BADGERS (5-0) continue their winning ways!


Ohio State 30, Minnesota 7: Chris Wells rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and the Ohio State defense didn't budge in a 30-7 win at Minnesota on Saturday night.   GO BUCKEYES!!! (5-0)

And it was on BTN here! (I don't know if they broadcast different games in various parts of the U.S.) My   ILLINI are looking like this year's "Cinderella"!
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

You could be right Gregg...here's how I see it right now. We have 4 really tough games.
Purdue this Saturday
Michigan St.
Wisconsin
Illinois

Penn St could be
Of course "The Game against Michigan" is always a good one...no matter who is ranked where.

This (6 South Florida 4-0 1,203 18) is an anomaly. The USF Bulls have played hard and would have been happy to make the 25-50 slot. It's a newish team with a cool history.

I figured the Florida Gators would loose to LSU away, they'll have another shot at LSU in the Swamp. wink.gif

The folks around here are none to pleased that unranked Illinois is the favorite this week against the No. 5 Badgers. I'm a little surprised, to be truthful.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

I can understand Wisconsin fan's not being pleased. However; I saw most of the Illinois/Penn St game and Illinois dominated most of it...soooooo! dry.gif

I heard a rumour that Michigan used an ineligible player against Penn State, and the Big Ten might rule that they have to forfeit the victory. No ruling yet, I guess....

I heard on the news last night that Michigan will not have to forfeit any games.
