Two gentlemen from Lewiston (?) WI. were out duck hunting on the Milwaukee river(?) and decided to take a pot shot at a 'large snapping turtle going by".
When they reached it they found a 4' - 25lb. alligator. Called the DNR to see how many laws they'd broken and were told 'None, in fact, THANKS, you've elliminated an 'invasive species'..... They're thinking about having it stuffed or having a wallet or belt made of it...
The Star Trib. apparently doesn't keep those 'home town interest' articles around too long on their site. But it certainly wasn't there three weeks as their '404' message indicates.
