Microsoft "ups the ante" in the idea of "spyware"
« on: January 16, 2008, 09:12:17 AM »
No more sleeping, or dying, on the job if Microsoft gets it's way:

QUOTE
The Times has seen a patent application filed by the company for a computer system that links workers to their computers via wireless sensors that measure their metabolism. The system would allow managers to monitor employees’ performance by measuring their heart rate, body temperature, movement, facial expression and blood pressure. Unions said they fear that employees could be dismissed on the basis of a computer’s assessment of their physiological state.

The key component is that it's "wireless". So you won't even know... eek2.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

I was just joking with one of my fellow techguys and he wondered if they'd figure out how many times a day you were having "impure thoughts" and dock you for that time!  smile.gif

Is this even legal? If it is, we are all in trouble - in more ways than one!
