Dioxins and PCBs are magnitudes higher in Salmon v Tuna

They say it's going to kill you....but they don't say when.  getsick.gif

Why bother eating tuna filled with mercury when you can eat a mercury filled with tuna? toothgrin.gif

I prefer the Gas released from dentals filling method to satisfy my craving for Heavy Metal. If that method is too slow why not consider getting right to the Point

A good friend who loved food trends, reported on them for local trendy papers, ended up with intestinal worms from Loving Sushi too much. If you have observed the rituals the Japanese go through to purchase, clean and prepare their food and compare to western assembly line delivery systems it's no wonder. I'll still shoot a dozen oysters now and again, but my Sushi days are finally behind me. wink.gif

What does Charlie have to say about this?
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Yes, lots of other varieties of sushi.

PCB levels in fish bought at Canadian markets in 2002 tested below the allowable PCB limits. Other tests showed the differences between farm and wild-caught fish.

PCB, PCDD and PCDF residues in fin and non-fin fish products from the Canadian retail market 2002

It would seem to me, with my poor logic skills, that a 'farm' bred animal, of any kind, would be exposed to any chemicals in its environment practically from birth to death. A 'wild' animal of the same type, would more likely spend its live in a more varied environment and usually a less polluted one, since it lives in a 'wild' area, one not occupied by man and his chemicals. Thinking.gif That would seem to explain the probability that 'farm' bred fish would have higher concentrations of whatever chemicals are in the water around them than 'wild' fish, especially if those fish normally have a large range of movement as do Salmon. dntknw.gif

That second study confuses me even with its title. What is a "non-finned" fish? eek2.gif I suspect that "fish" is being used in a generic way to encompass almost anything living in water? I suppose eels are included in that study, I just don't normally think of them as "fish." And that's probably due to my sheltered and somewhat land locked upbringing! laugh.gif blush-anim-cl.gif I guess I need to "get out more!" Or at least visit Google/Wikipedia more! smile.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
