14-10 p.m. until 14-20 p.m. no TS only the message, IPS driver error. There appears to be an error with the database.
All is well now.

16.00 UK time - took several attempts and had to go to front page (delete 'forums/index' from url window) to get in. Then all was OK. However even BBC News took a couple of attempts so may my connection sad.gif

Speed check using http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk : Download 1904 kbps, upload 328 (nominally 2MB service) so it's running OK.

Did you see anything while you were out, Jack? Guess it was pretty cold, also. Didn't you put on a jacket? Unless you live near a parking lot, it was probably pretty dark at that time of day... tongue.gif

PM ABD! Don't be so Grumpy.

No, it was quite warm and pleasant this afternoon.
I went on a nice long bike ride on the Hike & Bike Trail.

Sunny, sunny, sunny!

Not sure what the real problem is but I'm writing this in Safari as FF grinds away at 'loading' TS. It's been doing that for about 10 minutes without getting anything but the banner. Stopping and refreshing doesn't help either. But this must be a FF problem which doesn't even cache anything! dntknw.gif In 5 minutes I can probably log right in super fast...wallbash.gif

Yep! As soon as I sent this, I closed the eternal spinning FF attempt, clicked the link to TS again and there it is in less than a second. wallbash.gif I just don't think it's an ASO problem...

We were just offline for a few minutes this morning about 8:45 A.M. EDT... tried to post a reply to a thread and then couldn't get into the site for about 5 minutes.

My website, which is now hosted by ASO was accessible during the outage here at TS.

Chris is on the server named "Karen" - we're on Ana Lucia. The rest of the servers were all up - just ours went down for about 10-15 minutes. I did check the Apache server status etc.; unfortunately it only lists uptime since the last outage, not any listing of total downtime. ASO guarantees 95% uptime and I think we're certainly getting that - it's just these brief, but somewhat frequent outages that are annoying.

I've been hesitant to email or even metion things here but it appears we are definitley getting the 5% downtime! wink.gif

I just can't positively confirm that it's the servers. Sometimes TS pops right up. Sometimes the spinning wheel keeps on turnin'. Sometimes a post is uploaded iummediately, sometimes I just disconnect and come back later to find it actually did get posted. dntknw.gif

Like just now. The "Uploading post" graphic would never stop, could not access any page that was not already "tabbed." Just don't visit enough sites to know if it's Comcast or ASO. sad.gif But, so far, TS is the only site giving me these problems. Just not consistently. wallbash.gif

Did you post, sometime back, that when the 'database' is restored, as opposed to being updated, that our 'previously read' threads may default to their status at an earlier time? I had more to add to that sentence but I ran out of commas...

I've just pulled up 4 threads that show me as the last poster but also as 'unread' by me. Don't think is the correct display unless someone else is logging in as me. eek2.gif Anyway, if the servers have been down for any reason, can I assume this is a normal indication of that? dntknw.gif
