Photo aid - am I missing something?
« on: April 07, 2008, 12:29:15 PM »
I wasn't sure whether to put this in Tech or in the Greatest Hoaxes so gave it a thread to itself.....   whistling.gif

7dayshop.com sent me an email offering the Armpod extension device to attach to my camera.

Three questions:
1. I can barely get a sharp picture holding the camera with both hands while leaning against a solid object, so how would I get one when the camera's waving around on the end of a stick?
2. How do you see what you're photographing?
3. How do you push the button to take the picture?

I'm sure you folk can think of more biggrin.gif
I did check the date of the message and it was April 5, so if it's an April Fool joke it's too late wink.gif

Three answers:
1. Have your subjects stand still. Or make them lean against a building.
2. Bring the pod and camera back inside and look at the little screen in 'Preview' mode.
3. Get the accompanying 'FingerPoke XL MiniPod.' Only £ 7.49 when purchased with a 'ArmPod XL.' Shipping included within the EU.

Or perhaps a more attractive alternative....

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Discover new and unusual angles on objects, views etc. People have suggested all sorts of uses. Some sound safe and some sound risky, some seem like good clean fun and some seem rather dirty - whatever you choose with the ArmPod please be careful not to let go and drop it as we cannot be held responsible for your damage !!

All sorts of stuff on YouTube if you search on "QuikPod" - including this model for DSLRs and video cams with mirror attached: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5BilcyJ1W4

Only $49.99...
