You do not even see a folder under Users that has the same name as your user name? That doesn't sound possible.
Open your hard drive, On the left-hand side of the window, in the sidebar, click on the icon for your home folder (it's shaped like a house). What happens?
When you do this, you can see where your home folder is located on your hard drive by holding down the apple key on the keyboard and clicking on the title bar of the window. What does it say?
Within Macintosh HD there is a folder named Users. Within that is only the Shared folder. Nothing with the username on it.
I could find no Home folder by opening the hard drive. However, I did find Home under the Go menu. Within that Home folder I found a Music folder. Within that I found an iTunes folder. Within that iTunes folder is an iTunes data file, an iTunes Music folder (which is empty) and an iTunes Music xml file, which is all code.
