Wonk is not the same as wonky, so let's not even stretch it. wink.gif

Wonk = noun
Wonky = adjective

QUOTE
Definition of Wonky: wonky |ˈwä ng kē|
adjective ( -kier , -kiest ) informal
crooked; off-center; askew : you have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth.

I simply meant (and again, I'm really, really sorry I brought this up and used this word) ... that the banner was a bit large and it was askew or awry (out of the normal or correct position) and covering up links.

Please, can we let this go? Please.

Okay, thread is reopened and now I'm gonna slide it over to community. Hopefully it will have a nice, quiet nap.

'Wonky' has only recently [this decade] entered my vocab.

I use it to describe anything not functioning smoothly or properly, or 'off' in some way: [E.G., the Mac is acting kinda wonky today; the TS server has been wonky on and off for an hour; my back is feeling wonky so it's painful standing-up or sitting-down; my sell-fone reception is wonky in certain parts of town; the leftover spaghetti sauce smells a bit wonky].

I like it.  Hey Mikey!  laugh.gif

kbear, there's nothing worse than when your Mac gets wonked.

But a wonk like you can probably fix it.

Yet, PCs can be wonkier. That really wonks.

OK, maybe I can get this thing going again with what I first heard in this area (extreme South-Western Tennessee) about 45 years ago. "Tump." or "Tumped over." As in, "He was riding his tricycle but it slipped off the sidewalk and he tumped over!" It's used rarely, many times by children, but it was new to me back them. Seems to be a transliteration If that's the correct term Thinking.gif) of "dumped" and "turned over." dntknw.gif
