Safari Beta 2 History

Hi everyone! biggrin.gif

Ever since I upgraded to the latest Safari (Beta 2), my history has stopped working.  I've tried killing the pref files (home/Library/Safari) but nothing seems to get the History working again.  I can't seem to find anything in the Safari preferences that might relate to this either.  Am I missing something simple here?  (It's happened before! blush-anim-cl.gif)  Any ideas on how to get it working again?

The beta still has some kinks in it for sure.
Have you tried trashing Safari (backup your bookmarks first),& then reinstalling a fresh copy.
Bookmarks are located Users/Library/Safari.
Sometimes that'll do the trick.  HTH

I tried removing everything as you suggested.  I did a search for everything with "safari" in it and trashed them all.  (Really just 2 folders and a plist file.)  Then I installed a fresh version.  The history still doesn't work.  Although I did notice that when I dropped by techsurvivors.net using the newly installed Safari it logged me in automatically.  There must be some pref files (for cookies etc) that I missed trashing initially.  

I also tried the new reset option (in the Safari menu) and still no luck.  It seems that the history plist file isn't ever being created in the Safari folder.  I checked on one my other machines that has an older version of Safari.  On my machine the history works as long as the app is running.  But as soon as I quit, poof no more history.  I guess I'll have to wait till the next version before the History works again.  Oh well...   smile.gif

PS:  Does the history work for anyone else using the latest beta?

That is odd that you don't have a history.plist in your Safari folder.
I just checked my Safari folder in User's/Library & it's there.
I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination so the next stop I'd make if I were you would be the OS X discussions board. Look for the Safari discussions at the top of that page.
