Sun is not finished, yet!

Based on the OpenOffice code, StarOffice has complete Aqua gui and uses all available OS 10.4 capabilities, including access to AddressBook data. Biggest difference between StarOffice and MSOffice is the price. StarOffice is said to include VBA capabilities but I did not see that in a quick perusal of their site and that may only apply to Windows, anyway. dntknw.gif Biggest difference between OO and SO is the interface. Biggest difference between OO, SO and NeoOffice is standards and licensing methods. I think it's good news that there is increasing and strong support for the OpenOffice concept and now better Mac support as well. clap.gif

According to MacNN, StarOffice has limited VBA support (whatever that means), which is better than NO VBA support in MS Office 2008. tongue.gif

And, Lotus Symphony is based on the same OO model/format.
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog very long.
Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.

Not so sure I would want VBA support with the macro virus possibility.  Probably another reason why the Mac version is superior to the Windows version.  smile.gif
