Same "solution" offered by the author at GigaOM is at this Apple Forums thread, downgrade to 7.3.2. One of the biggest problems with Apple's forums shows up, as well. Poster "gyster123" asks for more detailed info on the set up of the machines having this problem. The problem, of course, is that nobody responds to the request. The result is a collection of anecdotal reports. wallbash.gif

If downgrading the firmware solves the problem it would seem that the problem is with the firmware, not the Macs...

Yep. Some are waiting to see if 10.5.7 helps any. There are notes about improvements with Spotlight and Time Capsule. But nothing specifically about this problem. :dknw:
