I've a couple fairly decent telescopes, although like any constantly improving industry they're a little outdated. Still does what I want them to do,so I'm not about to get one of the better models.
In this field my thinking is if the lightbulb hasn't burnt out, don't replace it.

Many of the big .. enthusiast .. not only have out of this world scopes and electronic equipment that would make a persons head spin, they also have binoculars thats ... errr .... (can't think of an appropriate word here) so here's one guys spotting eye piece before he jumps on his big boy. <gr>

Wow Bill! Do you think the strap around the guys neck is making a big impression?

I have 2 sets of binoculars, nothing fancy, just enough to satisfy my curiousity, and of course the light weight doesn’t shut off the blood running to my head! wink.gif

With the three browsers (IE,Safari and Camino) I am using for Xxx, I'm finding a sort of problem while loading my Q/T (mov) slide show above.

All load yet with Safari it has to reload the entire file instead of pulling it from the cashe after the first load.?. So my first thought was increase the cashe size in Safari.

I can not find where this is done.?.

Can one increase the cashe in Safari? Where? Is this the correct approach?

Bill, i watched the movie on Safari, and yup, it had to load completely first before i saw anything.
Not sure how or what software you have used to make the slideshow.
I have QuickTime Pro, and i just assume for a second you have to wink.gif
On opening a movie, hit "apple + J" and that brings up the "movie properties.
Select "video track" on the left popup bar, select "preload" on the right popup bar.
There you can check both "preload" option and "cache hint" option.
Do the same for the "sound track" after you did this for "video track".
Than upload and try again... cause i never really used it myself blush-anim-cl.gif
I just know it's there so i hope this will help you smile.gif

Keep up the work, looking good so far thumbup.gif

Thanks MB.
I have Q/T pro also.
I created another slide show (Well the same.Except changed the music) and did what you  suggested. Didn't work for Safari.

Still can't find where you can change the alloted cashe.
In the back of my head I keep thinking maybe Safari clears its cashe once you quit the browser.

Still trying to find that big carrying strap SB mentioned. wacko.gif

Nice Bill!  Some people go all out when it comes to star gazing. notworthy.gif

Nice slideshow too.

Safari so far does not have any cache control.  You can disable the cache with a program called Safari Enhancer, but that's about it right now.

Thanks AL for the explanation.
Was doing some digging on other boards and found what you've mentioned plus a couple of posters were thinking the  -wonder if Safari empties the cash after quitting- like I was beginning to think.

I'm more or less hung up with Camino now anyways.
Been running it for about [guess] a week steady. So far I like Camino. Its fast on loading you name its.
One 'big' drawback that IE has in JAG is that when you download a file (pic, gif etc .. whatever) from a page [for instance] it is always much larger in (ks) than it actually is.
That was one of the reasons why I kept an old version of NS around in OS9xx.
NS would always come through in this matter.!.

Now I'm finding that Camino (also Safari) does this. Big added bonus along with the speed.
I can now upload and I'll know the same download file is an accurate size for back up instead of switching browsers .. not to mention OS.

Just played around with iPhoto again.
Made another slideshow. Same pics (gonna wear those pics out <gr>) but slapped in a different song from itunes.
Rummaging through my music list, ran across one that made me think of Jennie and her funny 'coffee' statements.

Not sure if I should run for cover asap or what after posting  ... Jennie and her coffee? biggrin.gif

Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

Bill. Safari doesn't empty Cache when you quit it. smile.gif

You have to do it manually.

I've never seen a Cache size setting either. smile.gif

"I've never seen a Cache size setting either."

Maybe it will be implemented in one of the next upgrades Kelly.
