Would you rent or buy an exoskeleton?

I have a friend who has problematic knees and she thinks the Segway is an ideal thing to have to go about the city in.  I suppose that these early exoskeleton devices would also be nice for people with mobility limitations of some kind:



I liked the video of three people strolling around Tokyo but halfway expected that Godzilla might be lurking behind the next block of buildings:

BTW, what is that hairy thing with simulated eyes on the top of that contraption? Almost looks like a head! eek2.gif
