This would be funny were it not so common in our 'representative' government. Could have been a simple mistake, but I think it also pints out why 'Internet petitions' are practically useless. Without real, personal writings, I don't think any representative would consider the 'comments' as valid, at least I hope they wouldn't.
Even an email is easily faked. All these people have real, snail mail addresses and a letter is still less than 50 cents. If you are really concerned about something, pick up a pen and write about it on
paper and
mail it!
