First, thanks again to all for your help. Tacit, as we've told you before, you really do need to write that book!  notworthy.gif

One thing I was wondering--(well, one of many)--if an AOL user on a PC had a webmail email account--such as Yahoo, hotmail, etc., would they be able to open a jpeg attachment (assuming it had the .jpg extension) that was sent from a Mac user using "Mail"?? Or would the whole AOL/Mail/AppleDouble issue still be a problem as if the attachment was sent directly to the PC user at their AOL email address?? huh.gif

A couple of IMacs, an iPad, a bunch of iPhones...two of which don’t live here, but I still pay for. Oh yeah, wife, daughters, and yes—a grandson!

Most likely, yes. Most Web email accounts can handle multiple MIME attachments (which is all AppleDouble really is) without difficulty.

Ok, that's what I thought. I may suggest that as well as uploading jpegs to whatever webspace her ISP gives her as alternatives. On the "victory" department, I was able to explain to her how to send text files from AppleWorks to her PC friends, including AOL users, that can be opened in Word using the AW translators. I was impressed--she got it on the first shot. Her friends all wrote back with positive replies! She even made an adjustment in the AppleWorks settings for a friend she knew had an older version of Word. smile.gif
