So...why didn't the iPad get multitasking - and can it be far behind?

In the immortal words of Emily Litella...never mind. My question about why the iPad didn't have multi-tasking has been answered. Woohoo - that should make a lot of the whiners happy (or at least remove one significant reason for whining).
