Now here IS a scary thought!

Just reading through the documentation (18 pages) about installing Boot Camp and Windows (on MacBook Pro we bought at Touchwood yesterday....)
QUOTE
It's important to select the correct partition when installing Windows so that you don't overwrite Mac OS X on your computer....

It's enough to put you off the whole idea....  eek2.gif     eek2.gif     eek2.gif

Torchwood?  I didn't know they sold MAC's but given how great that team is they really couldn't sell anything else?  Was Captain Jack there?  What about Gwen Cooper?  Now there is a Welsh lady I'd like to meet!  Enough of this!
I really want to say that there isn't really all that much difficulty in doing a dual boot system with XP using Boot Camp.  Once you've erased one copy of Leopard you've learned a valuable life lesson: "back up first!" You take charge of the operation by first backing up the original partition onto an external drive if you can and then setting up the partitions that you actually want to use!  It's a done deal! salute.gif

Thanks for the support - though I may be back in Tech later!

ToUchwood was around a good while before ToRchwood biggrin.gif

By the way, another language variation - you say "knock on wood", we say "touch wood" for the same meaning.

So if my wife wanted to kinder to me she could just touch my head instead of knocking on my head! smile.gif
