Anyone know about a good source of info about Facebook?

Frances, did you click that "Flag" link on the person's post or click on that "Report This Photo" on the right? Did you go to their page and click on the "Report Abuse" on the left? I saw a page earlier today that had been reported for abuse and then closed.

I sent her an invoice for £3 (my then FB photo price) and she wrote a vile email back to me refusing to pay and removed the picture.  Since then she and her grotty little friends have found every available opportunity to have a dig and make jibes in my direction about my professional photography business.

I have tried to report it and their remarks to FB but they are a faceless organisation who do nothing, imho.  I have had no reply to 10 reports/flags/complaints and there is nowhere to go with this.  Cyber-bullying is alive and well and lives totally unchecked on FB.

Half of me says sod it, leave and the other half says no, why should I?  I refuse to be bullied by them.

Revenge Plan A - When she comes into the ring on her nag, I will put my very large camera down and get a book out to read.

Revenge Plan B - I shall take lots of photos of her when she rides in the ring and then put none of them up on my website to purchase.

Which will make her crosser?

Plan C - take lots of pictures and pick out the ones where she looks the most incompetent...? smile.gif
Plan D - appear to take lots of pictures and don't post any of them?

Seriously, you obviously know the culprit; point out that putting stuff on FB is still "publishing" (I'm reasonably certain that is the case in the UK) and that she could be liable to the same laws as if these comments were made in a newspaper or magazine. As a last resort, a solicitor's letter might be a worthwhile investment, especially if you can produce screengrabs of the derogatory remarks.

If you've got the time, you might enjoy starting a Facebook page dedicated to highlighting jerks like this person. "Borrow" their profile photos and set up something like a rogue's gallery, complete with testimonials of their bad behavior. Invite others to submit their nominations.

It may not accomplish much, but it would shine a light. Like they say, don't get mad, get even.

Scroll down a bit.

Apparently, as she is 17, she did it without malice!  Huh?

I have been told by the powers that be to let it lie.

For me, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Karma, I greatly believe in karma!

I have my own opines about 'revenge' and I doubt anyone else cares about them, but I would recommend only posting pictures of your own on FB with a very obvious and quite large 'watermark.' Might even be wise to do that most places, at least when the work is some of your better efforts. Copyright protections aside, there's no point in giving away you work.

Sadly, my only solution would be to kill her with kindness, in person, in public, on FB, etc. It won't hurt you and it may help her see her actions for what they are. wink.gif Obviuosly, I also ask that you do what I say and not what I do... blush-anim-cl.gif rofl.gif

Revenge is living the right life despite everything that comes up for me; otherwise things get a bit lopsided in the karmic department.  I'm going to reevaluate what I'm doing in facebook and how I'm treating friends.  Peculiar subject manner: Facebook Manners Check out the nifty computer she's using; I don't think it's running OS X!  Devilish2.gif

Great god! wink.gif

Unfortunately, 'manners' lessons are not needed by those who have them and are never read/viewed by those who do. rolleyes.gif

Frances, I'm really sorry you got stung so bad by this nasty lady. I agree with XABD that you should put a very obvious and quite large 'watermark' on your photos. Better to protect yourself as much as possible. I had several of my crochet patterns ripped off, and then folks would write to me and ask for help. I told them to contact the illegal seller. Finally I removed all my patterns, removed the email address associated with them and now I'm no longer pestered. The patterns are still out there, being sold by the wicked woman -- but eventually her behavior will catch up with her. smile.gif

Great video, gunug.  rofl.gif

Agree!!!!!!!!

Personally, I'm tired of all the online mis-behavior. I'm tired of folks firing off emails and/or posts filled with vitriol and hate. Worse, this kind of behavior is now showing up in face to face encounters. It's ugly, nasty and mean. I find myself just withdrawing into my circle of friends and letting the rest of it go by the wayside.

One of the best words I have heard for a long time.

I have a well-sized watermark.  Sadly her skills lie in removing it.

This is my new website btw.

My favorite is the close up of the pony muzzles in the intro Flash.  Love it! yes.gif

Hi Frances,
A wonderful site!
Your photography is just amazing, I LOVE your dogs.
The closeups of all your pets are super. But my favourite of all is your little dog sitting on top of your pony.

Wonderful web site, Frances; and as always grand photos - I can't pick a favorite. You really have an eye for the usual and the unusual. Love your T&C statement as well. tongue.gif
