As most of you know, Adobe didn't actually delete all the 'missing' functions of Photoshop when it created Elements. Most are still in the code, they just removed the menu/command to get to them. Not particularly good to keep the app's size down, but much quicker (and safer!) than deleting intertwined/interactive code. eek2.gif Andrei (Andrew) Doubrovski claims to supply a patch (actually some javascript) for various versions of Elements, that restores a great many of the hidden functions. How many depends on the version you have.


BTW, all these added/restored function will cost you a whopping $12!!! Actually, only ten bucks for v.2, 3 & 4. clap.gif But, download the demo to be sure it works with your version of Elements. thumbup.gif

BTW #2: I've downloaded the demo and will report how it works with Elements v.8. Pictures at 10!

This is quite interesting, as I have some of the "Hidden Stuff" already, but I'm not good enough at this to really know what this would add to our arsenal.
Will wait for more comments and trials.  And to learn a bit more before I tried anything.

The demo didn't kill anything, so I paid the big bucks and downloaded the whole tamale! Still don't know how to use most of the tools, but that will keep me off the streets for a while...

One problem that did occur was an instruction to run a javascript file. It ran, or actually opened up "ExtendScript Toolkit." I then found a "run" command. All that did was create a System beep when the interpreter found an undefined variable or function. Found several other ways to display what the interpreter was doing but no way to actually correct the error. I finally just Quit that app and opened Elements to see if stuff got installed as it should have. It had. I have no idea what the interpreter was for nor that it was even installed. dntknw.gif It's an Adobe product and I may zip it and see if these javascripts will still work without it...later. wink.gif
