OT:Pacermakers and cel phones

Could be a Florida cadiologists dream, thump, thump.

I'm making light of it but it only takes one occurance to cause a tragedy that might have been averted.

Now don't get the idea I posted here because I think that this is an (ahem) older audience, I do think it's a wiser one.

I will, of course, check this out with my cardiologist.

When my pacemaker was installed nearly five years ago, I had lots of questions. At that time my doctor said, "Forget all you ever heard about microwave ovens, airport security, and such. There are only three restrictions: (1) For the first two weeks, don't raise your left arm above your head. (2) Don't ever run a jackhammer again. (3) Never have an MRI."

I have had no problems with it, and at my last annual checkup the battery tested good for another four or five years.
I'm not a complete idiot -- a few parts are missing!
