The creator of Rock & Bullwinkle and Dudley Do-Right passed recently.

The cartoons were of the '2-level' variety... You had to listen carefully to 'get' all that the characters were talking about.  laughhard.gif
Ah, memories of Saturday mornings in front of the 'tube'....

I watched that show when I was an undergraduate and always got a lot of laughs out of it. It was definitely not for kids because its humor was way over their heads.

My favorite part of the show was the Fractured Fairy Tales.  smile.gif

You can see the hat scene after the first segment of the show, followed by a FFT.

I hope that if one were to "register" on Hulu, those stupid ads would go "poof?" Otherwise, that was my first two trips to their site...the first and the last. If I want to watch TV shows with ads, I can just turn on the TV! doh.gif But they were so kind to ask if the ads were relevant to me, so they could improve my "ad experience." I think we all know how they could do that...I don't want any ad "experience!" rant.gif rolleyes.gif Who are these people who think other people enjoy and get pleasure from watching/reading/hearing ads?! dntknw.gif

Long before I pulled the plug on my cable TV subscription, I realized that the ads are usually better than the shows. This is not an expression of appreciation for the expertise of the ad makers.  mad.gif

I have to agree, actually. But I did get to watch last Sunday's Masterpiece Theater on Monday night since the PBS station has a second channel on the cable. And, I also discovered that there are about six other channels, on the single TV connected to the cable box, that we can't watch anywhere else in the house. "Top Gear" has become one of my favorites! But Discovery II, Military and National Geographic are also in there! Of course, those still have ads...

And I realize that ads pay for the station/network profits. And without profits...all we'd get would be the outstanding programs on PBS! rofl.gif
