CD ROM mounting
« on: June 20, 2003, 04:59:29 AM »
Sorry me again thanx for all your help so far.

When i start up disk first aid the cd icon is there along side my hard disk.
The info under the icon is:

(Name Unknown)
ATAPI CD-ROM,BUS 1
(Write Protected)

When I try to verify the disk it says:

Problems were found but disk First Aid cannot repair them.

My os is 8.6

Also since I have the  Apple CD/DVD Driver in my extensions folder, should this be in the "Driver" info when looking in the Apple System Profiler-Devices panel. At the moment it still says no driver info availiable.

Cheers Op

(New Keyboard on the way) huh.gif

opopop8. Hello. smile.gif

Disk First Aid can't Repair a CD.

Do you have all these Extensions also?

Foreign File Access
UDF Volume Access
High Sierra File Access
Audio CD Access
ISO 9660 File Access

Have you tried a CD Cleaner? They don't cost much.

A CD with a little brush on it. Available all over.

I see you have a 233 iMac running OS 8. 6 smile.gif
