It's not clear to me that this is an IE problem or an OS problem. "The fault lies in the MHTML protocol handler, which is used by applications to render certain kinds of document." Do any other browsers sue that 'handler?' It sounds like at least some apps use it. Which ones? What is the real solution (besides the obvious one, of course...)?

This <Microsoft page> purports to list "affected and non-affected software" but seems to simply list all Windows OS's from XP through Windows 7. That still leaves the question open as to other apps that may be affected. wallbash.gif
