"Thunderbolt connector" We have some thunderbolts around here earlier today and more out to the west moving this way. But I'm not sure I'd want to get close enough to connect to any of them...
So, is that what Apple (or Intel) decided to call "Light Peak?" The new 'light-through-fiber-cable-that still-uses-copper-for-a-while-till-we-get-the-[moths attracted to light]bugs-squashed' data transfer method? I suppose the Apple lawyers figured "Thunderbolt" was a pretty safe copyt-right-free name...as long as you're not building an aircraft, anyway.

I can 'see' real problems with "Light Peak" becoming "Light Leak" if it started having problems...no photographer would ever buy a machine with 'light leaks!!!'
