We have quite the collection of Roses here on the Sandbar, among other blossoming things. Many butterfly plants bring out the cameras, like yesterday when a thousand Dragon Flies thought our yard looked tasty. The Parrots came for a visit at 7 am, a noisy bunch, squawking....... and talking back and forth. They like the Oak an Pine nuts, where the Dragonflies just seem to be content sitting on lines, fences, anything horizontal. I expect after 8 days of rain we’ll be seeing some skeeters, but so far it’s been a light year.
Last year I bought a miniature rose bush, small silver dollar roses are abundant throughout the year. My favorite is the Yellow Rose, it just seem to be the most outstanding.
Bill you should see the Fire ants climbing up out of the saturated ground by the thousands, quite the sight to see!
