Hello All,

You may have wondered where I have been of late.  I have been trying to educate myself using links provided by kelly.
I am still undergoing daily Radiation, from which I have returned very tired.

MrsLop has been playing with all her new toys and having an "Adventure in Printing"

I have been having some vision problems since the Chemotherapy; and so I have taken a voluntary leave of absence from driving.  Well, today was my husband's Birthday.  I was beside myself, as I couldn't very well say,
"By the way, Dear, would you mind picking up a Birthday card for yourself" or, "Could you drive me to the local card store, now could I?
Well, it took me several hours last night to figure out what  do and then try to do it.  This morning, after Tom went off to daily Mass at church, I sprung in to action.  I am happy to report that after many fits and stops, I was able to produce a Birthday card.  I am so happy that I figured out how to use the WP, I don't have a color printer, but it looked just great in very bold type and centered on the sheet.  It really bailed me out of a potentially embarassing situation.  It's so nice to have the toys to play with!

Congratulations!

If you were using AppleWorks, for the next card (maybe July 4th, or make up a holiday) you can drag and drop little pictures from the Clippings or library panel onto a page and have some decoration, too.

Let us know if you indeed have AppleWorks or Clarisworks and which number version. (Open the program then go to the apple in upper left corner and drag down to About....) It will tell you which it is.

When we know which number you have we'll explain how to add pictures or other images. The directions vary somewhat according to version.

Great Myrna... you amaze me! When you say "sprang into action"... somehow I can just about picture it...  laugh.gif

Once you get more things figured out, you can even get special paper for cards... black and white cards seem to be very popular right now, at least around here even in the card shops. You can make them look super...

I've done a couple just on ordinary paper fold 4-ways... as you say the "trick" is getting the picture centered or just in the spot you want it... smile.gif

Good Morning (It really Is!),

Trish, I'm doing two things at once, again. I am watching Wimbledon and on TS.  Have a great weekend and enjoy your visit with your family.  After all the OT you've been working, you really deserve some R n' R.  We'll catch up later.

Dreambird, I look forward to Fridays, it means time off from Radiation until Monday.  I am looking forward to my church choir and singing at a Thanks givig Mass for our retiring Pastor.  It also means time off from practice until September.
I am so grateful that I  did everything that I could to complete this Choir year.  Yes, it was difficult, especialy during Chemotherapy, but I did get all the grace I needed to get through.  I just took it one day at a time.  
I am not up as late at night since Radiation started.  I just try to catch up with the TS Board and what's going on during the day.
Really miss being here.

I used Appeworks 6.0 to get the card done.  I had ClarisWorks on the other Mac (the 6100/60 AV).  I never got a chance to explore that.  It woud be so nice to learn to use the system properly.  I just wonder, without any information on my Personal LaserWriter 320, if card stock will make it through the rollers on the printer. I look forward to trying out options of adding borders and pictures to the card.
Thank you so much for offering to help walk me through my printing.  What a great team effort this will make.  I have to calm down,  I get so excited at the thought of doing something new.

And the "Adventures" continue.....

I am always amazed at how quickly you can supply links.  Just keep them coming, kelly.

At the rate that  I'm learning, the next generation of Macs will be out and everything I finally learn to use will be thoroghly outmoded...
LOL.  I won't stop trying though.  As I have said before "the faster I go,the behinder I get."
