Certainly not as bad as your story, Bill, but I get a call last night just after 10 PM. Seems the alarm monitors for our new (yet to be used) church had detected an intrusion and had called the Police. They then called me because I am the closest member. When I arrive, there is my Pastor talking with the Police! I wonder how he could get there quicker than me?! I soon learn that he was the 'intruder!' He is a 'little' hard of hearing and had delayed too long at the door. It also re-inforced my recommendation that we have a phone installed by the alarm keypad. When the alarm is not silenced for a certain period, the company calls the church asking for a password. But, since there is no phone at the keypad, it will be very difficult for those locked out of the office (different keys) to answer it!
So the 'password' will be given to the Police who will, in return, award the church with a fine!
Oh well, a great end to a great 4th!
And we know the 'system' works!
