The topic and description says it all. I haven't been able to get connected here in the Northwest any time today. Is anyone else having problems?

Read that Apple said yesterday, 9/11, that approx. 1.1% of their users were experiencing outages, and that they were tracking the problem....

Welcome to the 1%...

It's precisely this sort of problem that prevents me from ever using the cloud. All my files are safely stored on my hard drive and its backups.

Oh, Jon, Jon! You're just soooo (90's) paranoid! laughhard.gif Don't you know that even a dark clod has a silver lining? It's the "silver" that you pay them to keep the cloud floating, of course. But it's your duty as a consumer to keep the economy growing! Most of those 'clouds' are runing on US made computers! I'm willing to bet you backups are not! nono.gif It's paranoid, export buying, cloud-haters like you that are causing all our problems!!! rant.gif

My dot/mac account is still out. The last message I received was on 9/4/2012.

I just spoke to an Apple guy. He claims the problem started yesterday. He had no idea when it would be resolved.

Good thing I use it only for my personal mail. My gmail account carries about 95% of all my correspondence.
