I must say the noise there does not bother me here. Thinking.gif no2.gif

Although FedEx used Heathrow right after we bought Flying Tigers, we used Stansted during most of my flights. And then there's Gatwick. If I were in control, I'd simply keep raising the landing fees at Heathrow until the traffic decreased to match the current capacity. Any 'profit' would be used to upgrade/expand either of the other two. Of course, those living around Gatwick and Stansted might not appreciate that plan... OTOH, I've never had too much sympathy for people who move/buy housing near an airport. There's a reason the prices are often lower. Thinking.gif

BTW, please send my consulting fee (37.5% of any new construction costs) to my Swiss account. thanx.gif and you're welcome.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

My high school girlfriend had so much trouble dealing with aircraft noise that she wrote a version of Peter and the Wolf that featured the noise as the wolf!  It kind of worked at the high school musical level!
