The Word is OUT

What word?

This Word!

This Saturday, the newst Apple Store opens in beautiful downtown Burlingame, California, oh 'bout 3 miles from here.

Never thought I'd see the day . . .

Dick, if you go and enter the drawing for the iSight camera just remember this applies:

QUOTE
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release Apple, its subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims and liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of the prize.

Jeez! That disclaimer makes it sound like there may be an explosive charge encased in the camera, plug it in and BLOOEY. unsure.gif

Nope, that disclaimer just confirms again that lawyers are in charge of all aspects of modern life in America, even prize-winning/gift-receiving wallbash.gif  Sorta like the signs on all the fuel pumps in California gas stations that imply that breathing or drinking gasoline can be dangerous to your helath. Gimme a break!

I probably won't go on opening day, since my arthritic knee won't be up to what the task will be . . . probably sad.gif  Somewhere else in The Rules it says that only the first 2500 people or so on opening day, will receive such and such.

The only place on oh-so-chic Burlingame Avenue that comes close to attracting 250 people is Starbucks, on a warm  autumn afternoon B)  B)

The reason this is so surprising to me, is that Burlingame is a suburban village of probably <30,000 people on a section of the San Francisco Peninsula that's perhaps <3 miles wide (between the Bay and the sea). Really a lovely town, but hardly a hotbed of electronic, or any other kind of, commerce.

Classy though, just like the Mac thumbup.gif

Sometime next week I'll mosey over (maybe price the" Pismo Feet", again harhar.gif) and post onto TS.
