Get 1Password and forget about Apples crippled, little supported password "manager". It's not free, but it can do so much more and is usable in all widely used browsers while being available at any time in any other app (similar to URLM Pro). It can also be used to store so much personal, private info securely. It automatically updates password when/if you change them, records that date/time thus foregoing the confusing and unnecessary duplications.
I even use it now instead of URLM Pro when I know the site is going to require a password. Simply type a few letters of the site (or its label that you create) and press return. 1PW then opens a browser, if needed, and loads the url into it, and pastes in the needed info. Done.
Keychain reminds me of many Apple apps that provide the basic needs at the time but are never developed when they become surpassed by third-party devs. And then there is iTunes which seems to find new and un-intuiitive uses every year while doing more with less ease-of-use.
Am I a complainer or what?!
AT least there are still devs who see, understand how apps should make things easier, not just pretty.
