Not sure what happened while Frances has been away, but I've just checked and her friend Nick

I don't know Frances' travel arrangements (sea or air? that is the first question!) but weather around here has been pretty foul lately, with 70mph gales at times across Scotland, so there may be a longer-than-planned delay before normal blog service is resumed.
