Those using Twitter have probably received an email about "an error" in their password handling. Seems they stored the password
before it was hashed as well as afterward. Of course, they say "we have no reason to believe password information ever left Twitter's systems or was misused by anyone" to the file containing those plain text passwords... the key word there is "believe". Obviously, people can "
believe" anything.
Just ask the majority of voters!
It might be a useful weekend project to change your Twitter password? Then, you too, can "believe" that things are secure.
