macOS 10.13.5

I downloaded and installed 10.13.5 via the Combo Updater and all is well.

I have difficulty getting any downloads at the right time because my wi-fi is controlled by Verizon, and my allowance runs out at the wrong times.  I would sure like to find an ism for real unlimited wy-fi, so that I could keep up with what is going on.  :wallbash:

I assume your "wifi" comes from your modem box?
How is that box connected to Verizon?
Does the modem box have an Ethernet port?
Is the allowance running out based on the time of day or the time of month?

FWIW, my ISP is Spectrum (AKA Time Warner) and I am very happy with them. They supply the modem (free) and my download speeds exceed 200 Mbs. I'm connected via ethernet so I can't vouch for wifi speeds.

We love in a development that has 15-20 houses - many trees and fairly high hills.  We cannot see another house.  Can barely get a signal from Verizon on our cell phones, and visitors usually can’t get a signal at all.  Our WI-FI comes from Verizon Cantenna - which is a little bigger than a gallon paint  can.  Our ‘UInlimited’ WI_FI is limited to 15 GB per month.  No one else in the neighborhood can get WI-FI.  Hughes Net came out to check and said if we would put up an 85 foot tower, they would install antenna.
No cable companies will serve our area. So we are SOL when we want more downloads or net access.

Ah! But that was before the Time Warner and AT&T merger. And before Mr. Pai shutdown the FCC control of the interweb. :wacko: Things will change soon, young Will Robinson! There will be so much competition the ISPs will be paying you to join their super-fast and limitless connections. :yahoo: Right! :rolleyes:

Instead of building an 85' tower for an antenna, why not build an 85' high foundation for you house? That should stop most of those nasty interruptions from neighbors wanting to borrow a cup of sugar during your cat video viewing! :cheer:

Then there is the sat dish method... as long as it's not raining, anyway. :Thinking:

Installed on June 6, and since then I have had numerous crashes with Safari. Most are from sites that have videos, but not all. I keep sending reports. I hope they figure it out and fix it.

A tried-and-true remedy is often to (re)apply the combo updater. See my original post in this thread for the link.

I used the combo (is there any other way! :wacko: ) about a week ago on the iMac and 5 days, 29 mins ago on the mini. No problems on either. :thumbup:
