Geeez can that URL get longer??? That's a good price for 2TB although a 1TB would probably do me. I can't remember if you recommended the black one or silver? My thought is silver...

Why now... well, I might have to spend some time up north BC to help my sister with my elderly Mom... was thinking one should be able to get the appropriate cable to connect that to the iPad? Would be handy and in the future, well I'd rather keep some of my important stuff safe from being shuffled all over various "clouds."

I'd encourage you to purchase the 2TB if you can afford it. Better to have extra space, as run out of space. The color of the case is a personal choice and the only effect it has is on the price.

I really am leaning toward that 2TB... the price has gotten quite good, plus I got to thinking (*ouch** that hurts!  ) that if I partioned it I could use it half and half and make myself a clone as a second backup to Time Machine.

I was just remembering that Paddy mentioned some colours being not as nice a finish or such. I'm pretty sure silver will be good though. Far as backups go, I really can't complain about my new 4TB Seagate Plus Hub... it's working very well and the 2 extra USB ports are just what I needed.

I can't believe that my HP printer is at least 15 yrs. old and it still does a bang up job of printing however a new one is probably coming... I'm hoping I can use a wireless one or something that can make use of one of the thunderbolt ports which will free up another USB port and that's generally plenty for what I do. Also I can always hook my iPad to the speakers which use a USB port and it will charge OR play music and charge!
I'm still getting used to iOS 11.4.1 anyway, all the apps I find have marvelous new capabilities that sometimes make my head spin...
