Looks like money does negatively affect technology
« on: January 07, 2019, 05:47:09 PM »
Apparently, the developer of Fetch won several hundred thousand dollars on a TV show which I don't watch. But it now appears that he has stopped development on a 64-bit version of the app, which is not trivial. So I may be forced to use a different FTP client, when I may eventually update to whatever comes after Mojave. :coolio: I hope he enjoys is winnings and finds new outlets for his coding skills. :)

I've used Transmit for years. Very reliable.

Oh, I know there are other FTP clients available. Don't even need one if I'm working with BBEdit, it can upload/work on files on the server without a second app. But, Fetch is so simple and intuitive and does everything I need/want. Just preparing to complain when "another one bites the dust". :laughhard: At least the app had a good run before it was "left at the alter"! :tears: :scram:
What's really sad is to see apps like ULRMP that just "fade away" with no comparable replacement. Oh well, no use "counting the chickens" until we "lead them to water".
I gotta go, I'm all out of incongruent and anonymous quotations.
