A hidden feature in iChat AV (beta) is the possibliity to sort in your buddies into groups, something that has been missing in the old version of iChat. I have many many buddies in my list, so this is a welcome feature.
shift-cmd-g is the trick (or select "Show Groups" in the View-menu).
