I recently downloaded a bunch (sorry for the use of technical term) of free apps from the App Store as seen in
Mojave macOS 10.14. I was being asked to update some apps that I no longer use/want. I decided I could stop these notifications by "hiding" them, but I could not find a way to do that in the new App Store version.
Of course, the "Help" option, as usual, is out-of-date...
But DDG was kind enough to point to a page at the Apple Support area describing the hidden "Hide" procedure.
First, sign in (if your name is not showing at the bottom, left corner of the window). Then:
- Click on your name
- Hover your cursor over an app you would like to hide
- Notice that a small, light-blue colored "more" icon is no displayed beside the "Open" (or download) button.
- Click that icon.
- You now have a menu of options you can perform, including "Hide purchase..."
Whether or not this will actually stop the Notifications remains to be seen...
