Google (YouTube) will pay $170 million in settlement. Based on an estimated revenue of Google for 2018 of $136.22 Billion (from Statista.com) that is a 0.00124798 hit!! Adds a bit of credence to one of the Commissioners comments:

[T]he "terms of the settlement were not even significant enough to make Google issue a warning to its investors." Chopra said he fears "the Commission brings down the hammer on small firms, while allowing large firms to get off easier."

Sorry, I don't have any details comparing fines on various sized firms. Full sad story.

Interesting how often the word 'kids' was used instead of 'children' which I believe lessens the impact. Many years ago, I was told by an editor that "kids are young goats and we don't use that word for children".

I still dislike that use of the word but can't deny I do sometimes give in.
