At first, I did try to contact Adobe several times with no result. And searched on their Support Forums. Then I found a procedure on one forum what to do that worked. I was finally able to talk to a LIVE agent!...
Simply go to their Chat Forum on the topic of concern and type in "AGENT". A live person chats back instead of an AI answer.
After explaining my situation that I need to move my CS6 apps to another iMac, they texted advice which did not work. We started a Case Number, and said they would call me back the next day. We did that twice over a week and no call was every received. Sat by the damn phone for hours waiting for the call back.
Then, another tip was to call one of the 1-800 numbers for Canada and a live person showed up. We arranged a call back time the next day. I was skeptical, but FINALLY a person in India did called. He worked virtually on my iMac for an hour deleting ALL Adobe C6 files and installing new same ones. I had to provide serial numbers and enter certain passwords on my end. We had a nice chat about Covid in India and his experience working for Adobe.
I thought I had it all working when I hung up the phone. Not! Aargh! The next day the same CS6 apps said they were only on a 30 day trial period and they needed to be validated.
I did some more research and was able to validate them. They are now working on my new iMac perfectly! Whew!
It took a week to work through all this, but finally I have a few years of grace. I am now studying the AFFINITY apps to eventually convert from Adobe. I will not subscribe to Adobe's Creative Cloud monthly subscription service. It's costly and provides other headaches if you are a part timer or semi retired like me.
