Spent the day thinking about the poor folk and animals of Florida.  And then wondering how we would manage if we had to face that.

The weather is getting colder so, feeling generous,  I gave the Shetland ponies on a diet a bit more grass to eat.

I didn't really get any good photos of the northern lights. It clouded over and I went to bed.  Lots of rainbows today, though this morning.

What to do? Whether to keep the Shetland ponies on the track or to put them up into the hill field for a while.  I am hoping the Autumn Flush of grass has finished.

A frustrating day with escaping Shetland ponies. I walked miles trying to catch them.  Ended up, giving up.  So not me.

Weather vile.  Cat annoying. Sheep eats carrots in the house.

Heavy rain and fog in Shetland resulting in flooding.  And then an airport run to fetch my youngest daughter, home for the week.

Bloody Shetland ponies have all got very sore feet and stiff legs.  Possibly because they broke out of their track to gorge on grass and not letting me catch them.

Getting ready for Storm Ashley.  Not looking forward to this one, not one bit.  Could be an ordeal for everyone.

The weather has made it nearly impossible to spend any time with my new sheep.  They were just getting nice and tame, too.
