A little bit of help please
« on: August 16, 2003, 03:51:42 PM »
I have this site where you can set up a "store" and I want to make a calendar...more for myself. Not trying to sell anything, so won't include a link. But, if any of you all are interested in seeing, I can do that.

What I would like is if you all have time, to go through my pics and pick out the 12 best pics for me. I have asked Mriousbe and cyberpetrah. Just list the #'s of the 12 best..thanks! smile.gif

Taken June 2003 in Hawaii with a 3.2 digital camera.

Wish  I could see them all.    sad.gif

It took 5 minutes to load the first 17 on the thumbnail page then it stopped. Tried the slide show but after several minutes all I had was the frame for the show. I hate to say it but the .mac accounts are almost inaccessible from slower dialup and/or non X users.

I have a .mac account which I can only access from my folks eMac and their 50kps download speed. From home I time out before even loading my mailbox index. Sometimes I can get partial loads from my PB which is running X.  Total waste of money. The only thing I can access is photo albums I set up prior to the .mac going commercial last summer. I had little trouble til then.

Krissel..sorry. Don't know what to do...other than emailing them to you. But I'm sure you don't want 29 pictures of Hawaii clogging your email wink.gif

Very nice pictures  smile.gif

Is very hard to choose sweatingbullets.gif

Ok. I choose: 1,3,5,7,10,17,19,20,21,22,23,27

But I suggest that choose those that you like best, and also I suggest if you can edit those that levels the horizon of the sea. I don't know if I explain myself   wink.gif

JK.
Great pictures!!! Hard choice if one had to just pick a few.

I tried a couple of times to check them all before, yet as Krissel mentioned, mac.com was hiccuping like always on and off.
Another {slow-up loading} I noticed was the actual size of your pictures.
Mac.com is keeping the enlarged pics in check 'but' if you grab one and open it with *say preview* to it's actual size the picture is a might on the large size yet in K's, they're just fine.
I pulled pic #20 (168K) just to see how it would look as a desktop image.
~~ Unbelievably Fantastic !!! ~~ Clarity was sooooo sharp!
They would differently make very good desktop pics!

But ... back at the ranch with mac.com ... besides the fact with mac.com and its on going problems, I can see why it takes some time to load each enlarged image.
Here is what pic #20 showed in PS. Click Here

1, 2, 3, 9, 16, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 1A

Loaded fine in OS X on dial-up (at my parents) so it must be something to do with OS 9. That's a bummer.

Nice pics! smile.gif One little suggestion - straighten the horizon line in the ones where it's crooked (it will require a bit of cropping after the rotation in order to get the photo itself level).

I didn't have any trouble on OS9 on the cable modem. They're just large images...I think.

A couple of them took a little more time to load.

To give you an idea about the size that I mentioned before.
Here is your #20 pic JK unaltered without the assistance of mac.coms size enhancer governor. Click Here.

Makes one incredible nice desktop though. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
