I may just be a little bit agnostic, But why would a person order a G5 now with Jag. Panther coming out in a few months, so why spend an extra $130? I may purchase a G5, if I do it will have 10.3 already installed.

Thanks guys for the articles, it's a real big service to us.  I appreciate the time you guys take in bringing TS these article links.   clap.gif

gmann:  your point is well taken, I want a G5 too, but I won't buy one until Panther and the normal early-release bugs are polished.   Thinking.gif

Good news!

Looks like time to buy that used computer on eBay - prices should be coming way down.

Normally, Apple lets users of new computers get the latest OS upgrade under the up-to-date program for $20. I have a feeling they will do the same with the G5s and Panther.

Actually, I don't expect much, if any, problems with the first round of G5s. Apple has a great track record with first generation machines, and has been engineering these things for compatibility from the start.

Now, if only Apple could ship my Dual 2 Ghz biggrin.gif
