Try this partition sceme.

7.5GB 1st partition for OS 10.2 install, or make it even smaller if you like, but not larger.
2.5GB 2nd partition for OS 9 install
10 GB for programs
10GB for documents...

Hmmm, maybe i good thing that i'm a few thousands miles from Al now, cause i have to disagree with this one blush-anim-cl.gif
While Os9 does liked partitions, it seems OsX doesn't like it... or at least, the bigger space you give on OsX, the smoother it runs.
It has something to do with the use of ram and i don't really know, but that's what i read.

Sorry Al... but than again, you can come over and kick me, just let me know when and i'll come to pick you ut (i'll bring a good belgian beer).

The reason that OS X only has 7.5GB's is that there is some restriction in the beige architecture that doesn't allow X to boot (or even install for that matter) if it is not within the first 8GB's and in most cases that is realistically 7.5GB's.  But, I will take a shot at that Belgian beer!  smile.gif

George, glad you got Jaguar running.  Hope you enjoy it.  If you have installed OS 9 somewhere on your drive, you should be able to select it as your Classic OS in your 9 Classic preference panel in System Preferences.
