M_B. How could we possibly disagree on matters of taste?
Well, we just can.
However. After having read X-Men and other comic books for over 25 years, I say,
the characterization of Professor Xavier was near perfect.
Patrick Stewart was born to play him, and did it very well.
Ian McKellen was great as Magneto.
Hugh Jackman was a perfect Wolverine.
Etc. The casting was brilliant. The story wasn't bad.
The fight scenes were really well done. As were the special effects.
I just thought it was all very well done.
I didn't expect much of it and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I didn't mind the talk.
Maybe if you'd been reading about these characters since the mid 1960s
you would have enjoyed the talking a little more.
Especially compared to how bad most comics to movies are.
A few exceptions. The first Superman movie. The first Batman.
I've heard the new Daredevil isn't too bad. I'll wait for it to show up on TV.
You don't have to like what I like. And vice versa.
