Looks like a pretty good deal to me. Seeing that upgrading a G4 to 1.25 GHz will cost nearly that much.

Yes Bill. That would be a very good Deal. smile.gif

It could be resold for a profit if nothing else.

I kind of thought it was a good deal Kelly.
I'm toying with the idea of looking more into it (a lot more stats) because I'm helping some friends out finding a good deal within their budget.
Who started a thread on their friend being cheap? Kps maybe?
Well these folks squeak not even moving. smile.gif

Yeah Gary S, I'm saving my pennies for a G5. Although the way I'm going the G6's will be out.

Just to end (or close) the book on this, I bailed out.

To put it mildly, they want to spend $400 [tops] on a [at least] 867mhz G4 plus a 17" [the smallest they'll go] monitor that is less than a year old.

I threw in the towel.
Wouldn't be surprised if they recycled butter off of uneaten bread. /sigh\

From DealMac,

The Apple Store offers the factory-refurbished eMac G4/800 128/40/CD/100BT 17-inch CRT for $599 in its Special Deals section. That's $50 off our last mention and the best price we've seen, although no modem is included. Shipping is free, but sales tax is added where applicable. A one-year Apple warranty applies.

Or have 'em shop ebay!
